“Cancel culture” hits “Words for the Wise”!

Dear subscribers,

I am hearing from a few of you that Substack has sent you notices saying that your sub is about to expire. If you believe you have received this in error—as some apparently have—please let me know and I will try to fix it. I did give out a small number of free subs to friends and family when the newsletter first started up, and those should be permanent subs. So again, if something seems amiss, please let me know.

A new post is almost done and should be posted no later than tomorrow.
