Musical Moment: “Falling Into You.”

An indication of how great a singer Celine Dion could have been if she had not been so badly managed and not focused her career on singing mostly schlock.

I suppose while this is not a totally popular opinion, it’s not an uncommon one either. This particular song shows how Celine Dion was exquisitely in control of her voice, and how that gift could have been put to so much better use. But the schlock got schlockier as her career went on, and of course her late husband/manager has to bear much of the blame for that.
