Stay tuned—“Words for the Wise” is coming back!
We’ve been on hiatus while launching a newsletter serving your editor’s Hudson Valley village. Now that is done, watch for occasional posts and catchups with topics we have covered for a long time.
As you may recall, some time back I turned off paid subscriptions—even though no one is obliged to pay for “Words for the Wise”—because I was not able to post nearly as frequently as I once did and wanted to. In the interim, I have been working hard to launch a newsletter serving the Hudson River village where I live. It’s called The Croton Chronicle and you can access it at this link. You might find this chronicle of small town life interesting.
That is now well underway, and I hope to return to regular posting here soon. I will not turn paid subs back on, however, until I feel I can guarantee that regularity. But I hope you will enjoy what we are able to do here. Topics will include the war in Gaza, the origins of Covid-19 (lots happening there), and the usual eclectic range of topics this newsletter is known for.
Back soon,
Michael
