So what your are saying is that You have already lost your legal case and are unemployable, banished to oblivion and reduced to peddling rehashed garbage to pay off that $18,000,000 judgement against. Also, you mentioned you love your cats but not your daughter.

That kind of comment is more appropriate for Balter's Blog, where such legal issues are discussed by wise souls such as yourself. But I'm glad you have discovered my new newsletter.

I should explain to readers: A small group of pathetic individuals has become obsessed with me and my #MeToo reporting, particularly in anthropology where survivors have come to me by the dozens to try to rid the field of abusers and bullies. Now they seem to want to migrate over to this newsletter. I will tolerate that in some cases, as an illustration of how hard some will defend the culture of abuse in academia, but not for too long. I got an alert that someone had left a very nice comment but for some reason it did not post in the comments section. So I am pasting it here, and I will respond to it.

Mr. Balter- Congratulations on your new Substack newsletter! I always appreciated your reporting and opinions, but the previous commenter reminded me, inadvertently I guess, why it is so important to support people like you who are not afraid to expose the truth, and oppose those - like the commenter - who wish to bury it. I will gladly subscribe to your newsletter and support your future work, #MeToo or other.

I assume that the constant accusations that I comment anonymously on my own social media platforms will follow me to this Substack newsletter. Be that as it may, I really appreciate this comment and having yet another reader, it's been gratifying to see how quickly the readership has grown in just a few days. As for "Michaels Small Bladder," they left another comment which I deleted and then banned them, because this last one mentioned my wife, daughter, and maybe my cats (can't recall now.) What is so pathetic is that this individual is an academic, a researcher, who apparently has the time to troll this reporter and engage in stupid insults, a form of obsession that a number of academics seem to have developed about me. Almost all of these individuals come from anthropology and archaeology precisely because that is where my #MeToo and anti-bullying reporting has had the biggest effect. On top of all that, the commenter has it wrong, the legal case is ongoing and there has been no judgment. For more details, follow Balter's Blog, where updates are posted regularly.
